Final score 5 - 5
We were 4-1 at the half.
The Diablo Scorpion's (the champions from last year) came back strong and tied us at the end.
They had several strong players and a strong goalie.

10 - 5 final score!
Skyline was a good team. They came out strong after the half and scored 3 unanswered goals. LO came back with some great hustle and finished on top.
Refs were good, called a tight game. It was moderately physical.
Before ...
... and after the save.

Great meal
Patti knows how to pick a good restaurant.
(mutinous "we want pizza" rebellion was quickly squashed). You are what you eat, the athletes had chicken, salad and pasta

Arrived safe and sound ...
Parents: remember when they were small ? We used to call this "parallel play".
Boys: I wonder who has the smallest/coolest/retro phone/console?
It kept the 40 minutes in the airport pretty quiet.

Getting ready to go ...
Parents: Bags packed yet? Ready to go? Conference calls canceled? Who's picking them up from school?
Boys: Test at school today? Triple check your gear. Don't have your parents looking for pads.
All: relax, enjoy. Watching the boys at practice has been a blast. Their level of play is impressive. This tournament will give them some great experiences and the season hasn't even started yet.
More later ( got to get on that conference call )

Great Team Experience
Everyone made it home without incident tonight. I'm sure the memories from this weekend will stick with the guys for quite a while. This is the last time this team will play together as it is and they have accomplished a ton ... undefeated in Oregon Select play, winners of the BYL Select Invitational, Champions of Battle of Bothell and 3rd place at the National Invitational. This is a bright future for Lake Oswego lacrosse.
Thanks to all the parents, fans and coaches that supported this team through the season.
Here's a scoring summary wrapup (unofficial) from this weekend across all games. This just represents goals scored. Certainly there were lots of ground balls, winning face offs, assists and goalie saves that didn't get recorded.
- Michael Hoch - 13
- Russell Seashore - 10
- Connor Dales - 7
- Seth Goddin - 4
- Jurgen Kritschgau - 4
- David Swanson - 3
- Zach Sipiora - 2
- John Murray - 2
- JC VandenBrink - 2
- Clark Salamie - 1
- Michael Higgins - 1
- Martin Winter - 1
- Connell Pritchard - 1

The mayhem on the field is starting to settle. Coach Lamont got assaulted with ice/water, medals were awarded and team pictures were taken. The final goal tally was a hat trick by Dales, two goals by VandenBrink and one goal by Seashore, Kritschgau, Hoch, Goddin and Pritchard.
