Great Team Experience

Everyone made it home without incident tonight. I'm sure the memories from this weekend will stick with the guys for quite a while. This is the last time this team will play together as it is and they have accomplished a ton ... undefeated in Oregon Select play, winners of the BYL Select Invitational, Champions of Battle of Bothell and 3rd place at the National Invitational. This is a bright future for Lake Oswego lacrosse. Thanks to all the parents, fans and coaches that supported this team through the season.

Here's a scoring summary wrapup (unofficial) from this weekend across all games. This just represents goals scored. Certainly there were lots of ground balls, winning face offs, assists and goalie saves that didn't get recorded.

  • Michael Hoch - 13
  • Russell Seashore - 10
  • Connor Dales - 7
  • Seth Goddin - 4
  • Jurgen Kritschgau - 4
  • David Swanson - 3
  • Zach Sipiora - 2
  • John Murray - 2
  • JC VandenBrink - 2
  • Clark Salamie - 1
  • Michael Higgins - 1
  • Martin Winter - 1
  • Connell Pritchard - 1
Check out www.WinterPhoto.net later this week for lots of photos of the team in action.

The mayhem on the field is starting to settle. Coach Lamont got assaulted with ice/water, medals were awarded and team pictures were taken. The final goal tally was a hat trick by Dales, two goals by VandenBrink and one goal by Seashore, Kritschgau, Hoch, Goddin and Pritchard.

LO wins it 10-6! More in a minute,

2:24 minutes to play, LO ahead 9-6!

Another nailbiter, tied 5-5 with about 10 minutes to play!

Halftime of the LO vs Draper Dogs 3rd place game and the game is tied 3-3!

Tough loss to an incredible team. Final score 9-7 DLC. Guys played great and they finally made the transition to more of a cut and feed offense instead of driving to the middle. That's what it takes to hang with a team like DLC. Seashore had 5 goals, Goddin and Dales one a piece. Next up is Draper Dogs (UT) at 10am for 3rd place.

Time out LO with about 10 minutes left. Score 8-6 DLC.

Score tied at 5-5!! DLC is in shock!

Halftime score is 5-3 DLC! Amazing! Guys are playing great against an unbelievable team

Game over

LO played a great game, with everybody contributing in a 16-0 romp. Hoch led the way again with 5 goals, Goddin, Dales and Seashore had 2 each and single goals from Salamie, Murray, Higgins, Winter and Kritschgau. Phew! Everybody finally gets to rest, at least until our semi-final game at 8am tomorrow morning. Now we get down to business.

On fire

... and not just because it's almost 90 degrees at game time. The game started an hour early (3 pm) and LO has jumped out to a 12-0 lead!

Game over. LO loses a tough one 6-4 against a scrappy Levendes team. Murray and Hoch each came up with key goals to keep it close in the second half. We now face Columbine in the 4pm game for a semi-final slot. If we win that game we'll face DLC in the semi-final (the number one seed) tomorrow morning.

It's a close one! Halftime score is Levendes 4, LO 2 on scores from Swanson and Hoch. Goddin had a nice shot that hit the post. This is bound to be a nail biter. Temperature here has passed 80 degrees, but it's way hotter on the turf.

Big win!

Yahoo! LO wins 10-4. Everyone is excited as you'd expect. Michael Hoch was Player of the Game with a hat trick. Swanson had 2 goals and Sipiora, Dales, Kritschgau and Russell each had goals. The Columbine keeper scored on himself once. Our defense played out of their minds, holding Columbine to only 4 goals. Next up Levendes (Cherry Creek).

Halftime score is LO 5, Columbine 2. The guys look way sharper today. Columbine goalie just injured.

End of Long Day

The guys have shaken off today's losses and everybody is optimistic about tomorrow. Dinner at Dave and Busters was fun, helping to relax everyone after a long day. They watched football on big screen TVs (below), played arcade games and ate lots of good food.

Tomorrow we face Columbine at 9:30am. Columbine is 0-2 ... this will be an important matchup. Check back for score updates.

Wow! DLC 12, LO 2. These guys were really good. Physical play on defense and creative on offense. Excellent stick skills. Lunch now and then rest up for tomorrow.

Halftime score is 7-1, DLC Ottenbreit. These guys are good!

Game 1 final score was 4-2 Draper Dogs. LO guys played hard, but clearly still haven't gotten rid of the jitters. Great goals by Zach and Russell. A ton of great saves by Nathan. Getting pretty hot on the turf.
